Luxury hotels opening in South America for 2021Amanvari - Mexico
Aman creates sanctuaries that provide guests and residents with the feeling they so desire – of solitude, of being away from it all, but yet a sense of belonging. Tucked away where the sea, the wild desert and farmland meet, Aman's new destination in Mexico will offer a peaceful escape and private oasis at the edge of the Sea of Cortés.
Opening : 2021 or 2022 Chablé Sea of Cortez - Baja California, Mexico
Chablé Hotels & Resorts, a boutique Mexican-owned luxury hotel company, will open its third property, Chablé Sea of Cortez, in 2021. Located outside of the superyacht destination of La Paz in Baja California, Mexico, the project will be a game-changer for the area which has traditionally been void of any luxury hotel development.
The Chablé Sea of Cortez will include stunning luxury villas and residences with dead- on ocean views. The property will also feature a huge spa, three dining venues, event space, private beach, and ocean-front pool; all spread across more than 698,700 square feet. Opening : Late 2021 Nobu Sao Paulo - Brazil
Nobu Hotel São Paulo will not only offer Nobu's famous restaurant offering directly to guests' rooms but will also feature a rooftop bar and pool, event space, fitness and health center and exclusive Nobu Residences.
Opening: 2021 Waldorf Astoria - Cancun, Mexico
Set on 100 acres of secluded Mayan coastline, Waldorf Astoria Cancun combines rich Mexican heritage with refined sophistication. Exquisite experiences and unmatched service awaits. Opening: 2021 or 2022 St Regis Quivira - Los Cabos, Mexico
This new property features 120 hotel rooms and 60 residences. The hotel will be part of the 1,850-acre master-planned luxury Quivira community on the Baja Coast. The community includes a private beach club, village center, nature reserves and over 20 miles of walking and biking trails. Delays may push the opening to late 2021, early 2022.
Rosewood Sao Paulo - Sao Paulo, Brazil
This is the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ debut in South America, and it looks like a very confident addition to our Openings list. The development is heralded by some big names in the world of architecture and design, with award-winning architect Jean Nouvel, designer Philippe Starck, and artist Vik Muniz commissioned to turn the 100-year-old building in the heart of the city’s Cidade Matarazzo into a luxurious city resort.
Set on the premises of a historic hospital constructed in 1904, Rosewood São Paulo will comprise 151 rooms and 114 suites and will feature two restaurants, bar and caviar lounge, two swimming pools, a large spa, and fitness center, as well as extensive gardens.
