Already Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Stéphane Buron, engaged for many year to bring French gastronomy to life around the world, was elected Toque of the Year 2021 by the association of Les Toques Françaises. Stéphane BURON (Chabichou, Courchevel) elected Toque chef of the year 2021Cook with Michel Rochedy, chef-owner of Chabichou in Courchevel, Stéphane Buron was born in Limoges in 1964. It was at the Bragard Hotel in Gérardmer that he took his first steps in his professional life when he was only 16 years old and in 1987 entered Le Chabichou, with Michel Rochedy. Winner of the Taittinger in 2002, he obtained the title of best worker in France in 2004 then was rewarded with 2 macaroons in the guide Michelin and 4 Gault et Millau toques. He is currently preparing a book (release on November 12) retracing through 50 photos and 50 recipes, the vision he has of his cuisine: constantly evolving, it is more thoughtful and more accomplished. If create a emotion, both taste and visual, is his credo, he tends towards a more vegetal and mineral, refined on bases which always remain classic.
